I grew up in Connecticut, lived in Alaska for almost ten years, in Vermont for almost 30 years and now reside in Colorado. I feel very fortunate to have lived in all four of these places - all beautiful in their own way. Perhaps the most beautiful thing about Colorado for me is that I get to grow up here with my two beautiful granddaughters, pictured with me above. Thank God for family and friends!
Life-long learning, including travel, has been a high priority for me in my life. I knew from an early age that I wanted to "get around," and I have been fortunate enough to be able to do so. I have traveled extensively around the world, including to all 50 of the United States, and have learned a great deal about myself and others through those travels. I also have always enjoyed participating in and viewing sports of all kinds, including football, baseball, basketball - you name it! Hiking, body-surfing, parachuting, ballooning, sailing, zip-lining - bring it on! I love to be out there doing exciting and adventurous things both by myself and with others.
I was first introduced to Restorative Justice over 25 years ago while working with the Vermont Department of Corrections and embraced it immediately as a tremendous approach to resolving, if not transforming, conflict. Since then, I have been blessed with the opportunity to facilitate many restorative justice processes in many different venues, in cases ranging from broken windows to broken lives. I have continued this pursuit to the present day, working with the Denver District Attorney's Office and Full Circle Restorative Justice out of Salida. This volunteer work has also included working as a facilitator with the
Restorative Justice Education Program (part of the Prison Insight Project) at the prison in Buena Vista.
